Si intensifica il desiderio di avere “un francese” in scuderia. Così dopo il Caruso de Corta di Smorgon e il Chiara du Bar di Truccone&Bruera, anche Luigi Colombino ha acquistato un transalpino con attività ovviamente oltre frontiera: si chiama Casablanca ed il training, come tutti i soggetti della scuderia Del Castello, è affidato ad Andrea Guzzinati.
